The Pennsylvania legislature missed its budget deadline yet again. It’s time to put the pressure on and ensure NO BUDGET WITHOUT TRANSIT! We need legislators across the state to hold the line and pass a budget that prevents transit collapse – and we need your help!
The PA House passed HB 1364, which expands the Governor’s transit funding proposal. This buys our transit riders and workers time to win a long-term funding solution. We need our legislators to stand strong: implement the funding outlined in this bill at minimum, to prevent further immediate cuts to transit, so we can continue to organize in the coming months to win service restoration and expansion.
The time to take action is now! Use this form to email your legislators and ask them to ensure NO BUDGET WITHOUT TRANSIT!

In 2025, we have collectively moved the needle on transit funding in Pennsylvania! Elected officials know transit is the commonwealth’s top priority.
By the numbers:
- 202,560 Letters sent to state legislators between March 2025 and today (!!)
- 15,657 people have sent letters to their legislators in that same timeframe
- 247 state senators and reps have received letters, plus the governor
- 19,554 contacts with T4APA activist code added since 1/1/2025
- 602 statewide call attendees, with 48 signed up for our next one
- 53 rallies, canvases, committee meetings, and phone banks for T4A between 1/1/25 and 7/14/25 (Monday), with 1,665 attendees total
Want to take your action a step further? Join a phone bank of riders and workers in key districts across PA to show our legislature we need transit everywhere. Every Tuesday in July we’re making calls.
Transit riders across the state are facing service cuts and fare hikes. We can’t let this happen.
You can help make our message heard by volunteering to phonebank transit supporters in small towns and rural communities, as well as key districts in the Philly and Pittsburgh regions. We’ll talk to them about why they support transit and invite them to call their State Senators.
We can win better transit for our communities when we organize across urban and rural divides!

Even if we get a state budget with emergency funding, we know we’re in for a long fight for transit restoration and expansion. Join our statewide all-call on July 29 for an update on where our fight goes from here!
Regardless of the budget outcome, we need to keep strategizing. Depending on the solution that passes, we may be organizing to delay cuts, or continue pushing for a long-term funding solution. Gather with your fellow riders and workers across PA for an informational update and strategy session for how our organizing will evolve through the end of Summer and into the Fall.
