2026 Harrisburg Day of Action

May 15, 2026

Transit is in crisis, everywhere in PA. Our legislators need to know there is a solution.

Transit systems all across the Commonwealth are facing dire funding shortfalls, with small systems and paratransit (the service that seniors and people with disabilities use to get where they need to go) facing the most urgent crisis.

Many state legislators don’t know that there are solutions to this crisis of mobility, or even that there is a crisis at all. Join transit riders and workers from all across the state to educate our lawmakers, and advance solutions that create the service that serves your community—and every other community in our state.

You can join the Day of Action by RSVPing at the form affiliated with where you live in PA:

What to expect

Transportation

Efforts are being made to provide transportation to as many supporters as possible. See your geography’s RSVP form above for the transportation support that is available to you.

Mandatory training

This will be a day to educate our lawmakers on the complex issues facing our transit systems. Accordingly, everyone must attend a policy training in order to join the Day of Action.

Organizers will reach out to you after you register for this event to confirm you can attend a training. You can also pre-register for the following trainings:

If you attended the April 29th Transit for All PA Statewide All-Call, you are already trained!

Food

Boxed lunches will be provided when in Harrisburg. Please indicate when registering if you have any dietary restrictions, so we can provide food that is safe for you to eat.

Day’s Activities

We’ll start bright and early with an inspiring rally at the Capitol fountain, around 10 AM. We’ll hear from transit workers, transit riders, and legislative allies from all across the state.

After lunch, we’ll split into groups, and deliver educational materials to legislative offices. Some participants will meet with legislators, depending on their availability.
